Close to Market Drayton, Cheswardine is a rural village Shropshire with a history going back to Domesday Book. Its name is thought to mean ‘cheese-producing settlement’ in Old English. Nowadays it has the local amenities you’d expect – two pubs (The Fox and Hounds for food and The Red Lion with its own brewery), a community-run shop, a parish church and plenty of green space.
