The property

Light and airy rooms, with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, offer an open plan living space with a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen, dining and sitting area.

Comfy furniture, TV and an electric log effect stove, make it the ideal place to relax on a chilly winter’s night.

Our guests who visit in the summer, can enjoy their colourful private garden and terrace to ‘chill out’ and dine al fresco.

The spacious bedroom has a super-king size bed (which can be twin beds if preferred) made up with fine quality bedding, and large fluffy towels and robes add a touch of luxury to the bathroom which has a large shower, WC and basin.

Park Farm Cottages

Set within 28 acres of gardens, paddocks and woodland, the beautiful Georgian farmhouse and old barns at Park Farm, have been lovingly restored over 7 years. The once derelict 18th century farm courtyard has been converted to provide two exceptional, one bedroom cottages, with delightful private gardens, and luxury accommodation for adults. The owners pride themselves on their efforts to helping the environment. Unlimited hot water and the underfloor heating are supplied from a renewable energy biomass boiler, and an electric car charging point is available for guests in the large secure parking area. Park Farm is located on the outskirts of the village of East Knoyle on the Wiltshire/Dorset border. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the cottages are well positioned for exploring the wonderful countryside of the Cranborne Chase, Thomas Hardy’s Blackmore Vale and the dramatic Jurassic Coast. The ancient hilltop town of Shaftesbury, with Gold Hill of the Hovis Bread advert fame, is nearby. The Cathedral cities of Salisbury and Wells, and Bath with it’s famous Roman Baths are perfect for a day trip. The popular visitor attraction of the world renowned Longleat Safari Park is just 6 miles away. Many National Trust, English Heritage and Royal Horticultural Society properties, including Stonehenge, Stourhead and Sherborne Castle are within easy reach.

Shaftesbury 5 miles; Gillingham 7 miles.

The two rural communities of East and West Knoyle, the former being the birthplace of Sir Christopher Wren, sit on the Wiltshire side of the Dorset border and are also close to the border with Somerset. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on the edge of the Blackmore Vale, the gentle rolling West Wiltshire downland is dotted with picturesque villages and lovely walks, with the impressive house and gardens at Stourhead just a short drive away. Close by, there are opportunities for sailing available at Shear Water, which borders the Longleat Estate, well-known for its Safari Park and stunning stately home. There are numerous places of interest worth visiting nearby, including mystical Stonehenge, the beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury and the impressive city of Bath. This is a delightful rural base from which to explore this fascinating area.
