  • “We had a lovely trip to the New Forest.”

Pops Barn was a lovely place to stay with all that we needed and close to the forest. There was fantastic communication with the owner who seemed really nice. A bottle of wine milk and some rather lovely biscuits were a really nice surprise when we got there. It was fantastic to be able to take both my dogs and they had a wonderful first holiday and the really pretty enclosed garden gave me peace of mind. ...

We thought that the only two things that were a bit of a bind was the parking and lack of Internet . You have to park on the main road and right up on the pavement ( we were aware that we had to park there.and obviously this isn't the owners fault! ) The trouble was finding a spot as it was packed with cars. The lack of Internet wasn't really an issue for me but my friend could've done with it. ( Again this was told to us before hand) . All in all, a really nice place to visit and I would recommend Pops Barn to friends.

We are sorry you experienced difficulty in parking and unfortunately the barn does not have wifi, as stated in the description. It is great to hear the dogs has a wonderful first holiday, Hideaways Owner relations

The property

Pop's Barn (named after the owner's grandfather) is a secret little hideaway behind the High Street in the bustling village of Downton.

Walking down a narrow path leading off a side lane, you stumble upon this pretty brick building set in its own private walled garden.

Despite its seclusion, the cottage is perfectly located for the numerous attractions this popular area has to offer.

Pop's Barn has been well designed to maximise its small interior spaces making a cosy retreat for two people.

Guests can enjoy a peaceful evening drink or al fresco meal in its pretty and sunny garden.
