The property

Brimming with characterful features lies this terraced cottage in the centre of the pretty Cotswolds town of Winchcombe, nestled between Cheltenham and Broadway.

Admire the stone-built exterior and the surrounding honey-coloured stone and timbered properties, before making your way into the cottage, which has retained a wealth of original features.

Be welcomed into the cosy sitting room, where contemporary furnishings and TV complement the exposed beams and mellow stone-built fireplace, home to a woodburning stove, offering a perfect space to unwind of an evening.

Move into the kitchen, where you will find a delightful range of appliances to assist you in cooking up a tasty home-cooked meal, whilst your loved ones keep you company at the dining table and plan tomorrows adventure as dinner simmers on the hob.

Concluding the ground floor is the family bathroom, a sleek space with a shower over bath, basin and WC.

A perfect place to relax in the bubbles! Climb the steep stairs of the 400-year-old property to be welcomed by the master bedroom, which is elegantly presented with a king-size bed.

Look forward to snuggling up under the plush bedding before waking up to the anticipation of a day in the Cotswolds.

The second bedroom boasts twin beds, characterful exposed stone walls, oak beams and lovely views over the garden. Continuing to impress is the properties enclosed garden, where your canine companion can stretch his legs and during a balmy afternoon, you can enjoy lunch on the lawn, stretching out in the deckchairs or perhaps pop open a bottle of something to enjoy on the outdoor table.

If you can tear yourself away from this charming abode, immerse yourself in your surroundings by taking a stroll into the town, where an array of pubs and restaurants are awaiting, as well as a number of cafés to enjoy afternoon tea.

Within the town, you will find two small supermarkets and various shops for picking up the essentials, These shops include a baker, and a butcher where you can purchase locally-sourced meat, also a greengrocers for vegetables to cook up your own Cotswold delicacy..

If you are feeling adventurous, you could book onto one of the many guided tours of the town, or soak up the countryside setting further by walking the Cotswold Way, the Gloucestershire Way, the Warden's Way and the Windrush Way.

For a taste of history and offering a superb family day out is the 1000-year-old Sudeley Castle and Gardens, or slightly further afield is the National Trust property of Snowshill Manor and Garden.

Alternatively, the Regency town of Cheltenham, with its famous racecourse, and the city of Gloucester, are both within a scenic drive, The ancient town of Tewkesbury set on the Rivers Severn and Avon is just a short drive from Winchcombe.
