“Lovely, cosy little cottage in a fantastic area.”

Through a little alleyway and you are on the high street of Chipping Campden with pubs, antiques shops, gift shops, a Co-Op and restaurants. This was a good base to explore the surrounding Cotswolds villages and whilst there we ventured to Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Lower Slaughter, Northleach and Bibury. We had a bit of an issue with Wi-Fi connectivity but this was sorted out with the owner without any problem. Highly recommended this property for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

About the location

CHIPPING CAMPDEN

Moreton-in-Marsh 8 miles; Stratford-upon-Avon 12 miles

This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. For a dose of famous history, head to the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon just 12 short miles away, it offers some charming little buildings, bookshops, theatres and museums.
