A new exhibition has gone on display at the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre which showcases the talent of artists who have learnt to dive. The artists have used these diving skills to create a variety of pieces which were inspired by underwater England.
Some of these artworks were even created underwater, and the five artists involved have been more than happy to do so in order to highlight the "urgent need" for Marine Conservation Zones. Ranging from watercolours to sculptures, the process involved making pencil sketches with thick watercolour paper during the dive and then using these as a reference later on in the artists' workshops.
A great exhibition for those enjoying Dorset cottage holidays to head to, the Underwater Art for Action exhibition celebrates both artistic endeavour and the natural beauty of England. The display will be at the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre until 26 March, so why not pay a visit soon and show some support for Dorset's marine wildlife?
