There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
With all the excitement of Christmas and the celebrations of New Year beyond us all for another year, what better way to escape the January blues than with a cottage break in the New Forest? As well as being an area of great beauty, there are plenty of events for the whole family to enjoy; here are some of our favourites taking place in January.
In an event planned by Friends of the National Motor Museum Trust, Chris Barrie, star of Red Dwarf and The Brittas Empire, will be talking about his experiences of driving some of the finest vehicles ever produced. From planes and trucks to motorbikes and cars, it promises to be an evening of real entertainment.
If you are interested in attending, the action will be taking place on 17 January and ticket prices start from just £7.50. We recommend contacting the Beaulieu Motor Museum directly for any further details.
As the New Forest is renowned for its fantastic variety of walks, why not use the Family Fun Adventure Walk to help the whole family really make the most of the local area? Starting from the Youth Activity Centre in Bransgore, it’s a full day of exploration and whether you’re hunting for mini beasts or just simply admiring the stunning views, it’s an experience you won’t forget. The Family Fun Adventure Walk will be taking place on 24 January and family tickets (based on two adults and two children) cost just £16.
If you fancy a trip to the theatre during a stay in one of our warm country cottages, why not enjoy a great night of comedy courtesy of Omid Djalili? A familiar face, Omid has won plaudits for his work in stand-up comedy, television acting and more recently on the West End, where he just completed a four-week sell-out residency. He will be entertaining crowds at the Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre on 16 January, with tickets still available from the venue’s official website.
