Are you planning on visiting Hampshire and The New Forest this summer? You’re in for a treat with all...
Anyone enjoying a holiday in Dorset this October will have the opportunity to find one of the most elusive creatures in Britain: the red squirrel.
Run by the National Trust, visitors to the area can hop on a boat to Brownsea Island in Poole harbour, one of the most important nature reserves in Dorset. Once there, kids and grown ups alike can join one of the free guided walks and see how many rare red squirrels can be spotted.
The walks occur twice daily at 11.30am and 2pm and are running everyday until 26th October. Entry and the boat trip to Brownsea Island will cost £3.10 for children and £6.20 for adults.
Taking a trip to Brownsea Island always makes for a wonderful day out, and the addition of a walk to spot red squirrels is the icing on the cake for a great holiday experience whilst staying in Dorset Cottages.
