Information Collection & Use


If you book a holiday with us, we require certain personal details from you on our booking forms. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and address). We also require information about your party (names and ages of any under 18s), which we use to ensure the property you have chosen is suitable for you and your party. You may also optionally provide credit card details on our payment form which we will use to charge you for your holiday.

We will pass on your details to the owner of the property you have booked to ensure the arrangements for you booking run as smoothly as possible.

Contact and Brochure Request Forms

If you send us a message using our Contact form, your contact details will only be used in relation to your query. If you make a Brochure Request we will only use the information you provide to send you our brochure.

Log Files

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system and date/time stamp.


A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies to tailor your experience on our site. For example, we remember the searches you make on our site, to prevent you from having to enter the same search / holiday details more than once.

Together with our log files, we use cookies to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We use a third-party tracking service, Google Analytics, that uses cookies to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site in the aggregate.


We store information that we collect through cookies, log files and Google Analytics, to create a “profile” of your preferences. We tie your personally identifiable information, together with your booking and communication history with us, to the information in the profile, in order to improve the content of the site for you and help you plan your holiday.

We do not share share your profile with other third parties.

Communications from Hideaways

Email and Telephone

Hideaways will only contact you by email or telephone in relation to your booking or enquiry.

If you have chosen to sign up to our monthly email newsletter, we will send you an email once per month with the latest news from Hideaways. The newsletter is opt-in and we will only send it to you if you have explicitly requested via on our contact, brochure request or booking forms. If you no longer wish to receive our email newsletter you can instruct us to remove your details from our mailing list by contacting us.


If you make a booking, we will send you a printed confirmation of you booking by post if we do not have your email address.

We will send you a copy of our printed brochure by post each year, if you make a booking with us or if you specifically request it using our Brochure Request page. If you no longer wish to receive our brochure you can instruct us to remove your details from our mailing list by contacting us.


When you enter any personal information on any of our booking, payment, contact or brochure request forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will update this page ( We want to ensure that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it. We will always show the date from which the current version of the privacy statement applies.
