Midway between Penzance and St Ives and close to the village of Ludgvan, 'The Little Barn' is a tastefully converted, detached, granite barn tucked away behind high gates and thick hedges with access to the owner's beautiful 4 acre garden. Set on the edge of a wild valley, in an area designated of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it enjoys glorious views over the surrounding countryside and to the sea at Mount's Bay. This part of Cornwall, which is famed for its dramatic coastline and magnificent beaches, offers a huge number of places to visit - Lands End, Cape Cornwall, Sennen Cove, St Ives, to name but a few - as well as St Michael's Mount (National Trust) and Mount's Bay, which are just 5 minutes by car.

The Little Barn provides a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The owner, who is a local artist, lives in the adjacent property and generously extends the use of the lovely sub-tropical garden she has created of terraced lawns, an orchard, woodland, a stream and several ponds. The garden contains a great variety of rare and exotic plants, which provide interest and colour throughout the different seasons (see Photo Gallery).

The Little Barn has been thoughtfully designed and fitted out to a high standard, creating a light and welcoming space. Entrance into open plan living room with exposed beams and comprising sitting and dining areas and a compact, well equipped fitted kitchen area with 2 ring hob, eye-level oven and grill. Downstairs shower room with large walk-in shower. First floor double bedroom with extensive views over the valley and beyond towards the sea. En suite bathroom/wc.

Garden area immediately in front of the barn bordered by an attractively planted 'Cornish wall'. Further secluded, lawned garden exclusively for guests' use with garden furniture and barbecue facilities. Bike storage available in Field Shelter. Complementary tours of the owner's woodland garden can be arranged.

Perfect stay for a couple. Nice and calm place in the middle of everything

The Little Barn is a cute little house with everything you need for a vacation. There is a lot of room despite the few square metres. Clean and nicely decorated. Lots of books, games and tourist information. The owners are very kind and helpful with everything, just ask.
