The Cart Barn is a stylish and imaginative conversion from a former cart shed, set in peaceful surroundings in the depths of beautiful, rolling countryside, which forms part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This part of South Wiltshire offers marvellous walking, riding and cycling and there are also numerous visitor attractions to explore. The cathedral city of Salisbury, Old Wardour Castle, Stonehenge, Stourhead and Longleat are all within half an hour’s drive, while the World Heritage city of Bath, the South Dorset coastline and New Forest National Park are reachable in an hour or less.

Unspoilt villages with stone-built cottages, at one with their landscape, are a real feature of the local area and there are is good choice of traditional country pubs serving excellent food within a short drive of the barn.

The Cart Barn is set in an attractively landscaped garden beyond a line of pleached pear trees. There are lovely views from just beyond the garden across fields and woodland. The interior is contemporary in style with uncluttered, practical living spaces. The glass fronted entrance, created from the original bays of the cart shed, is a feature of the building and floods the ground floor living area with light.

Entrance from flagged pathway through a central, solid oak door. Large, open plan living room comprising sitting areas, a dining area and a fitted kitchen; French windows lead out onto a paved terrace. Utility room and adjacent downstairs wc. 1st floor: large landing and two bedrooms. Double bedroom with 6ft bed and ensuite bathroom/wc with cast iron roll-top bath. 2nd double bedroom with 6ft bed and ensuite shower room/wc with large walk-in shower.

Attractively landscaped and planted garden offering privacy and seclusion, with south-facing patio and lawned areas bordered by fencing, hedging and original wall.
