The Cabin is situated midway between Penzance and St. Ives, just above Mounts Bay and within a few minutes’ drive of the dramatic coastline which featured in the popular television series Poldark. Approx. 5 minutes' drive away, Marazion has a fine sandy beach where there is access, via a cobbled stone causeway at low tide or by boat at high tide, to St Michael's Mount (National Trust) with its medieval castle and sub-tropical gardens.

This part of Cornwall is famed for its wild and beautiful coastline and its magnificent beaches with many interesting places to visit - Lands End, Cape Cornwall, Sennen Cove as well as St Ives, famous for its artists’ community and offering several 'Blue Flag' beaches. There are numerous country walks to enjoy including St Michael's Way, the former route for pilgrims on their way from Lelant to St Michael's Mount.

Tucked away behind high gates and hedges with its own 1½ acre plot within the owner's large and fascinating 4 acre garden, The Cabin is a haven of tranquillity - an ideal place to relax and unwind. It is very private, being sited away from the owner's property and the other two properties at this location and has its own access driveway and parking.

The owner, who is a local artist, generously extends to guests the use of her superb garden below The Cabin, which contains many rare and exotic plants from around the world. An extensive network of paths and tracks provide the ideal opportunity for a quiet reflective walk, pausing a while to admire the view while for the more energetic they are perfect as a 'wild running' track! The garden is a haven for wildlife and attracts badgers and foxes as well as an array of birds, butterflies and moths.

The Cabin is of Finnish design, with a well planned interior.

Entrance through double doors into a double height, open plan living room with sitting, dining and fitted kitchen areas. Double bedroom with repro antique brass bed in a recess. Pretty single bedroom. Inner lobby for coats. High spec., contemporary shower room/wc. Shared use of separate utility room in an outbuilding.

Extended outside decking and garden furniture for "alfresco" meals. Use of the owner's garden with its many rare and exotic plants - complementary tours of the woodland garden can be arranged.

Lovely stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin in June. It was a perfect base to explore the area but set in such lovely surroundings, we spent quite a bit of time relaxing on the veranda. Lots of places to recommend - Porthcurno, Mousehole, Minack theatre, St Ives...but also Sue's tour of her fantastic tropical garden is a must! Great place!

The Wow Factor

My partner and I have stayed in the Little Cabin on numerous occasions over the last 10 years or so, the last being in June 2016 for a fortnight. I can still remember the first time I opened the gates into the drive and went "Oh wow. This is amazing!" There were rabbits everywhere. Heaven for an animal lover! The Little Cabin didn't disappoint either. Perfect for a couple. Lovely to open the doors onto the decking and be at one with nature. Or lovely to cosy up in if the weather isn't great. Very comfortable and rather nice to have a small rabbit peeping in to the bedroom, first thing in a morning, from the woodland! The ideal chill out and get away from it all place. Can't recommend it highly enough.

A beautiful, peaceful place to stay and a fantastic week of weather. We could not have asked for more. Thank you.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

Myself and my partner really enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. The surrounding land is full of wildlife and you can hear the river at the bottom of the hill as soon as you step outside which was lovely. The Cabin is really well located out of the main town so it's nice and quiet. The transport links are great into Penzance, St Ives and St Michael's Mount which is absolutely beautiful. The Cabin itself was lovely with a nice big comfy bed and lovely shower that has plenty of light to get you up in the mornings! This would be a perfect city get away for any couple or family. Absolutely loved it!! :)

We have spent years planning to come to Cornwall, and the reality has far surpassed our expectations. We love it! Thanks for building the cabin, and planting the trees, but most of all thanks for being such lovely, helpful, welcoming people.
