Four beautifully converted properties within walking distance of Offa's Dyke.......

Holt Farm lies in attractive, rolling hill country on the borders of Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, at the end of a long private track. It is a wonderful, peaceful location and has immediate access to superb walks and rides. The organically run farm is at 900 feet and a footpath rises behind to a hill with direct access to Offa's Dyke and the Black Mountains, affording extensive views.

There are many attractions within easy driving distance: Hay on Wye (7 miles) - world famous for its bookshops and with a wide range of activites to suit all tastes: historic castles such as Longtown and Llanthony; the lovely cathedral city of Hereford (15 miles) and of course the River Wye itself. The Brecon Beacons, The Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat are approx. half an hour's drive and golf, riding, fishing, canoeing - even gliding! - are available locally. Overall the area offers unrivalled opportunities for the perfect country holiday.

The Barn is is a really impressive, imaginatively planned conversion of the former cowshed with extensive views from its private garden area down the valley over the surrounding farmland. On the other side it faces the main courtyard area and can combine easily with the other cottages providing an opportunity for a large group to congregate and dine together.

Holt Farm Stable, Holt Farm House, The Wain House and The Barn can be booked jointly. For special occasions e.g. wedding anniversaries there is also seating for up to 23 guests at one large table in The Barn.

Please note that Holt Farm Barn has a Friday changeover for weekly bookings.

Full height glazed doors lead into 40 ft. long, open plan, double height living room comprising a sitting area, woodburning stove, dining area for up to 23 guests and a raised, fitted kitchen area at one end. Bedroom beyond the kitchen, with king size double, extra 'day bed' and double doors leading onto a balcony. Spiral staircase from living room up to a double bedroom and en suite bathroom/wc with 3/4 size bath & wall-mounted shower attachment. What our guests say

Surprise birthday weekend!

Fabulous! Eight of us stayed for my 60th birthday weekend. Perfect in every way. Beautifully restored, decorated, maintained and equipped! Would highly recommend this place - did not want to leave! Plus the weather was glorious!

Guest's review on Trip Advisor, 21 July 2016 5 of 5 stars.

“Very well appointed accommodation with lots of frills”

We stayed here the Hay festival weekend. In spite of dreadful weather we had a lovely stay in this spacious accommodation. There were lots of games supplied and guide books in addition to some DVDs for the kids. The TV was huge. We were sad not to be able to use their BBQ and outside seating area and enjoy the views due to the driving rain. Everything worked including the WiFi. The joy of this accommodation was that the three bedrooms were not on top of each other and so the three generations were able to keep rather different hours without disturbing each other.
