Introduction

Conveniently located in a quiet road off the main shopping street of this popular fishing village and only 250 metres from the sea, this first floor apartment has been completely refurbished to a very high standard by its owners, providing a bright and inviting space. The village's considerable amenities are only minutes away on foot: shops, pubs, restaurants, a beautiful harbour and shingle beach (fishing and boat hire available), and wonderful coastal walks along the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site. There is even an annual regatta held in August, a major event in Beer's calendar.

The whole surrounding area, too, is full of interest. The coastal towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis are a short distance away; and the cathedral city of Exeter, and Dorset’s county town, Dorchester, are an easy drive. The beautiful hinterland of both Devon and Dorset (including the famous Hardy country) contain many hidden gems, complementing the superb coastal scenery.

The owners have lavished much care and attention on Midships and the result is light, very comfortable, and surprisingly spacious – and ideally placed for enjoying the many attractions of Beer and the whole of this lovely area.

Excellent, centrally located apartment

Midships is a very well appointed 2 bed apartment right in the centre of the lovely fishing village of Beer. Fully equiped with everything you could need, it also has the advantage of a washing machine and dishwasher - just like home from home. With a good sized double bedroom, the location is quiet and peaceful, yet only a minute from the high street. The apartment is on the first floor, reach via a flight of stairs. A car parking space at the rear of the property is a bonus, too. Ideal for self catering, but also close to some very nice restaurants in the village - Gina's, Osbornes, Anchor Inn etc... Spent a thoroughly enjoyable week here in September and would certainly return in the future.

Wonderful holiday rental

Just returned from 6 nights at this wonderful apartment. It provides everything we required and is beautifully furnished. It's in a quiet location in the beautiful village of Beer. Ideal for spending the day sightseeing then returning to Beer in the evening for an evening meal. We would have liked a full length mirror but that is being picky. I would definitely recommend this rental and would book again if we go back to this region.

WOW!

WOW! That was the first word I said on entering the property. It was immaculate, beautifully furnished and we were very happy with our choice of holiday home. Wifi, TV, DVD player, washing machine, dishwasher, books, DVDs and CDs to play on the CD player all there to be used. Everything had been thought of. It got better, I always take some kitchen essentials with me but this time I didn't need one of them. The kitchen was equipped with everything I could have wanted. Nearly forgot to mention how comfortable the bed was too. Midships is close to the beach, some lovely pubs and wonderful places to eat as well as some shops. We had a lovely visit and would certainly recommend this beautiful modern apartment and definitely will re-book if we ever return to Beer for another holiday. Our thanks to the owners.
