This small Victorian terraced house (property with blue entrance door on right hand side of exterior picture) has been restored to a high standard by its current owners. It is situated in a fairly quiet side street, in a particularly historic part of Salisbury, just off St. Ann Street. This has been described in Pevsner's "The Buildings of England - Wiltshire" as one of the most interesting in Salisbury outside the Cathedral Close itself. The house is only a short walk from St Ann's Gate entrance to the Close and within easy reach of the market place and city centre shops.

Spacious sitting/dining room with firepace containing a "living flame" gas fire. Small, well equipped fitted kitchen. 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 single. Bathroom/w.c. with independent shower above the bath.

Very small, walled rear patio accessed from the kitchen.

  • Gas central heating and gas fire - gas by meter reading (paid direct to owner)
  • Electricity and bed linen included in rent
  • Towels provided for overseas visitors only

Holiday Home

The city lights are flickering on, when earlier the sun had shone. Pattering, hurrying footsteps pounding loud of passers by, none notice the dark gathering of the sky. The breeze picks up and scatters autumn leaves along the cold hard ground, car after car going home now seems the only sound.

An elegant tree Waves its boughs at me. As my gaze follows its graceful lines, yet nothing it undermines. This home with its paintings and bric-a-brac has me enslaved, and over its ancient ambience I now crave.

This house has many stories yet untold, each picture a tale has to unfold. Love Lane runs rings around my heart, it has done so from the very start. It was once a much loved and treasured home in past times when people didn’t roam.

A great location for a base in Wiltshire for a week

A quaint little two up, two down. Ideal location. Proximity to shops and central location in a beautiful city. Parking system was great also.

We really enjoyed our stay in your cottage. We found it very comfortable and well located to the historical sites of Salisbury and for the trips etc...
