Cobble Cottage is situated in the tiny hamlet of Pencuke amid rolling Cornish countryside, only a couple of miles inland from the coastal village of Crackington Haven with its lovely small beach. The ancient harbour of Boscastle and the dramatic cliff top ruins of Tintagel Castle are also within easy reach.

This part of Cornwall is renowned for its rugged coastline, and offers wonderful cliff top walks along the South West Coast Path between Boscastle and Crackington Haven and beyond. There are many picturesque fishing harbours and sandy beaches, which are ideal for swimming, sailing, surfing. The historic market town of Launceston is 12 miles away, Bodmin Moor is close by and the Tamar Valley and Dartmoor are an easy drive. Visit, too, The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and Lanhydrock (NT).

Cobble Cottage has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard, with much care and attention taken to preserve its original features while providing all modern comforts. The result is a delightfully cosy 'home from home', equally welcoming at any time of the year. There is a pleasant sunny patio area immediately outside the front door and a small, separate garden, accessed from the parking area, where visitors can enjoy a peaceful barbecue.

This is a particularly cosy and inviting cottage, very well furnished and equipped.

Entrance hallway with slate flagstones. Charming, sitting room with slate flagstone floor, beamed ceiling, and original inglenook fireplace containing a woodburning stove. Country style kitchen with hand-built wooden units, range cooker and scrub-topped pine table. Stairs to landing. 2 bedrooms - one double with Victorian pine bed and fine views - one twin with similar furnishings and outlook. Bathroom with independent shower over bath. Separate wc.

Enclosed, paved, 'courtyard' garden area immediately outside the front door with Weber barbecue. Further, separate garden with picnic table and benches. NB this is accessed from the parking area and not directly from the cottage.

Mr Popplewell, April 2017.

Thank you - a very cosy, homely cottage, very well-equipped. Loved the cosiness provided by the woodburner downstairs and the lightness & brightness upstairs - big windows, natural light & beautiful views. Perfect location for exploring. Walked from Tintagel to Trebawith and back, surfed at Widemouth beach - perfect rocks for climbing and cycled Wadebridge to Padstow on the Camel Trail for fish'n'chips at Rick Stein's take away. Great memories!

Du Sautoy family, October 2016

Wow, what a wonderful cottage and location, we will definitely be back again to your fantastic little hideaway. Simple, cosy and relaxing, which is what we all needed, with great beaches and stunning countryside. Wish we could live here and get away from the rat-race of London.

Lovely cottage and great location – had a very enjoyable stay. The local pub is an absolute gem.

Mr & Mrs Madge, July 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at Cobble Cottage – homely and comfortable and a great base for exploring North Cornwall. Rough Tor and the granite cliffs above Sandymouth wonderfully elemental, and the Camel Trail is ideal for walking and cycling. Our only regret is that we didn’t book two weeks.

Mr & Mrs Archer, September 2013

We have had a great week here. The cottage is lovely. The walk from Boscastle to Tintagel is worth the effort. Beautiful scenery.

Amanda Davies. August 2013.

We have had a wonderful stay in this little cottage. It was our first visit to Cornwall and we enjoyed the beautiful landscape and all the friendly people here!

Mr J Legenfelder and family. August 2013

The cottage is lovely, the fire really warms the place. Crackington Haven beach is superb. I loved the cottage, it was furnished beautifully in every detail, so lovely, thank you.

Mr and Mrs Jones, October 2011

A very comfortable stay at Cobble Cottage; most definitely a “home from home” with everything we needed to enjoy our time here with two young boys. Crackington Haven beach provides a perfect base for energetic or lazy days – we just wish we had booked two weeks.

Mr M Newsome and family, July 2011

Cobble Cottage is so thoughtfully furnished and kitted out – a real home from home! Peta is the icing on the cake – her warm welcome and thoughtful tips on where to stay (and generous egg delivery) really set us off on a happy holiday. Next door there is even a fabulous farm shop.
