Introduction

Occupying the top floor of Circus House, at the entrance to The Circus, one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks, this carefully refurbished, stylish apartment provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy this World Heritage city from the heart of its Georgian architectural splendour.

The Circus, or King’s Circus as it was first known, was part of John Wood the Elder’s grand vision to recreate a classical landscape for the city. Inspired by the Colosseum in Rome it is a masterpiece of Georgian architecture and now has Grade I listed building status. The other important elements in Bath’s ‘most important architectural sequence’ – nearby Royal Crescent and Queen Square – along with its ‘must-see’ attractions – the Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa, Bath Abbey, The Pump Room, Jane Austen Centre, are all within convenient walking distance of the apartment. The Assembly Rooms, which house the world famous Fashion Museum are just a stone’s throw away.

Bath is also well known as a centre for art and antiques, and for its annual literary and music festivals, having inspired many authors and painters such as Dickens, Gainsborough and Jane Austen. The city has a huge range of shops, markets, pavement cafes, historic pubs, bistros and restaurants, many of which are independently owned. Bath’s famous Christmas Market attracts thousands of visitors from across the UK.

Within easy driving distance of Bath are Glastonbury, Cheddar Gorge and Wells Cathedral, the nearby Cotswold Hills and the historic city of Bristol.

Tastefully furnished in a contemporary style and awarded the coveted 4 stars, Gold Award by Visit England, Circus House Apartment affords bird’s eye views of The Circus and neighbouring Georgian buildings and provides a very comfortable base from which to explore this beautiful city.

What our guests say

Wonderful first visit to Bath

We stayed in Circus House for half term - two adults and two children. The location was wonderful, right in the centre of the city and minutes from all the main sights. Our welcome was warm, and we soon found a short cut to the long term car park a few minutes away. The apartment was extremely comfortable and quiet - it was well equipped and very clean. We would definitely return!

What a wonderful apartment in a gorgeous location! The whole place is beautifully equipped and all to the highest standard - There are lots of thoughtful details like the DVDs, toys and cookery books! Lesley was lovely - warm and welcoming and so accommodating of our individual needs. Thank you Lesley! We will definitely all be back and probably quite soon! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Thank you for such a life-enhancing stay in the eternally golden city of Bath. From Lesley's friendly welcome to the thoughtful chocolates on arrival - we appreciated your light, airy roof-top apartment with its breathtaking views of the architectural gem that is The Circus. Circus House apartment truly felt a home from home but with the added advantages of having so many interesting museums, cafes, street life and parks nearby. Amazingly on our first night here we watched a regency ball from the bathroom window! The highlight of our visit was our walk all the way from this apartment to the beautiful Prior Park and cricket beside the Royal Crescent. Thank you.

Beautiful Apartment

Spent five nights here over Easter and had a lovely stay. The apartment is beautiful with stunning views of The Circus and Assembly Rooms. There's so much to see in Bath - The Roman Baths, The Jane Austen Centre, The Holburne Museum,Prior Park,Bath Abbey,The Assembly Rooms,No.1 Royal Crescent and the lovely view of Pulteney Bridge from Parade Gardens. This apartment is a great base for exploring it all. We've been missing the lovely views from the windows since we got home and would love to come back some time. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Gorgeous and convenient apartment in The Circus

Our family of four spent 5 nights here over Christmas. The apartment was well furnished and we had a most comfortable stay. It is within easy walking distance to all the tourist spots and shops. Checking in and out was easy, and Lesley was easy to coordinate with. The apartment is located on the top floor and there is no lift access. It's quite a hike but we think it is worth the effort.

This is a really lovely flat - ideally located and beautifully appointed. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to friends and family as well as considering a revisit. Thank you also to Caroline for the warm welcome when we arrived.

Lovely apartment in the centre of Bath, with everything close by - We had a great time despite mixed weather! Can recommend blowing your own glass bauble at Aqua. Hope everyone else enjoys this apartment & Bath as much as we did! A great way to celebrate the end of 'A' levels.

Peace and relaxation in Georgina Bath

We spent 3 nights in this delightful apartment in mid-May. The apartment is well appointed within easy walking distance of the main sights in and around the City centre. The Royal Crescent and the Assembly Rooms are in the immediate vicinity. Plenty of restaurants just a few streets away. We parked the car in the nearby long-stay car park and didn't need it again until we left. Carol met us with the keys and showed us round the apartment. It is beautifully furnished and laid out - we had a very comfortable stay and certainly hope to return here when we next visit Bath. There is a bit of a climb up 3 flights of stairs, so we were that much fitter when we departed. The upside of this is that the apartment is light and peaceful. In short a very pleasant stay.

Wonderful stay!

We have had a wonderful stay in this beautifully appointed and presented apartment. We are very grateful to Carole for all her help in getting ourselves set up here. We very much look forward to staying here again when we next visit this splendid ancient city.
