Bridge Studio lies in the pretty village of Bishopstone, half way along the unspoilt Chalke Valley, which follows the River Ebble on its meandering journey to the cathedral city of Salisbury, 6 miles away. The surrounding scenery, which forms part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is particularly renowned and there are wonderful walks from the cottage door by the river and up on the chalk downland and along the old Ox Drove above the village. For keen cyclists the Wiltshire Cycleway, which runs along the valley, is conveniently close.
Further afield but still within an hour’s driving distance of Bishopstone are a whole host of visitor attractions – Wilton House, Stonehenge, Longleat, Stourhead and the World Heritage city of Bath. The New Forest National Park boundary is only about 20 minutes away and Dorset’s “Jurassic” coast is a must for a day’s excursion. Closer to home there is a string of pretty villages to explore between Salisbury and the Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury, with many ancient cottages, some fine houses, historic churches and plenty of excellent country pubs.
Imaginatively converted and extended from an outbuilding within the garden of a larger house, Bridge Studio has been thoughtfully designed, with well lit, uncluttered living spaces and good use of natural materials, making this a very desirable base from which to explore this beautiful area.
Entrance hallway with access to a downstairs shower room/wc. Large, very attractive, galleried living room comprising a sitting area with woodburning stove and French windows opening out onto a patio, a dining area and a bespoke fitted kitchen at the far end of the room. 1st floor: big double bedroom with TV. Bathroom with bath, basin and wc. Gallery above the living area with single day bed for an additional guest (NB not suitable for a small child).
Brick-paved terrace with furniture and barbecue and grassed garden area beyond.

One of the best finds we've made!
Really comfortable & spacious accommodation, so tastefully converted, with everything thought of. Excellent personal service! Loved the log burner & thoughtful welcome pack. Great location for local walks, perfect too for trips to Salisbury Cathedral & Shaftesbury, with brilliant views! Had great meal at the nearby Queens Head in Broad Chalke. Thanks for a memorable stay. Love to return!Guest's review on TripAdvisor, April 30, 2016. 5 of 5 stars.
Comfortable and stylish
We enjoyed our few days in this lovely cottage. I think we were the first guests and we were delighted with our choice. The cottage is comfortable, well-equipped and stylish. The owners were very helpful and left us a great welcome pack including a delicious cake. The wood burner was a real asset as were the two bathrooms. The cottage is well situated for country walks and places to visit, being close to Wilton, Salisbury and Stonehenge . We will definitely return.Guest's review on TripAdvisor, April 28, 2016. 5 of 5 stars.
