St Ives is a delightful seaside town situated right on the North Cornish coast. Formerly a major fishing port, it is perhaps better known today for its art heritage. During the 19th and 20th centuries many artists were drawn here by the superb views and changing light, the legacy of which was the opening of Tate St Ives in 1993. Nowadays there is plenty for visitors to see and do with museums, exhibitions, annual festivals, sandy beaches and a range of independent shops. You’ll also be spoilt for choice with the vast range of cafes, pubs and restaurants on offer.
