Hindon is a medium-sized village found in the Cranbourne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wiltshire. Mainly developed in the 13th century, it hosted many markets and fairs up until 19th century. Nowadays there are plenty of walks around the village as it sits on the Wessex Ridgeway, The Monarch’s Way and the Orange Way. There are two excellent former coaching inns (The Lamb and The Angel) whilst The Beckford Arms at Fonthill Gifford is also close by. You’ll also find a community-run village shop.
