Petworth, Sussex, Surrey & Kent Cottages
Standing in the grounds of the owners' 17th century Grade II listed cottage, The Creamery is a fabulous oak timber clad barn which, until recently, was used for making a local cheese. Carefully researched and designed, its conversion into spacious, high quality holiday accommodation provides a delightful country retreat in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the borders of Surrey and Sussex.
If you're looking to escape to, and immerse yourself in, country life, then you'll certainly appreciate a holiday here. You'll find the owners' smallholding with geese, a few pigs and bantam chickens right on your doorstep. You might even enjoy a glass or two of the vintage Sussex cyder which they make on site!
Once inside, you'll find practical, light and very spacious accommodation with attractive oak flooring and leaded light windows. Nothing has been overlooked when it comes to the fittings and furnishings, so you'll find plenty of comfy seating alongside such details as heated towel rails and power showers. Stretching along the whole of the upper floor is a wonderful open plan living area, great for chilling out all together at the start, or end, of the day.

"The Creamery was a brilliant upside down house with all facilities required and the owners were very welcoming and on hand if we needed anything. The nightingales were in full song which was lovely. We would definitely go there again when we next go down south. Thanks."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-04-26
"Spent at lunch very "Thanksgiving" at the Creamery. James and Kathy very helpful. Great pubs nearby at Chiddingfold and Lurgashall - recommend Sunday lunch at The Crown."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2014-12-01
"“A wonderful house in the Sussex countryside!” The Creamery is a gorgeous property, clean and spacious with a great open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area at the top of the house. The wood fire and well stocked wood shed were a great addition on the windier, rainier days. We were travelling as a party of friends and the house was a good space to catch up, watch films and cook in the very well equipped kitchen. Kathy and James were very friendly and offered a lot of guidance regarding the surrounding towns and countryside. Although there is enough sleeping space for a party of 10, I think that it would be a rather crowded house with that many people and that the property would be absolutely perfect for a party of 6-8 (because of seating space in the dining and lounge area upstairs). The location of the property is wonderful and very close to lots of beautiful National Trust areas - although a car would be essential for travelling to the nearest places."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2014-01-04
