St Ives, Cornwall Cottages
Beautifully converted by its current owners from former farm buildings, Brunnion Barns sits in an elevated position overlooking the surrounding countryside and with far-reaching views to the north Cornish coast. As you approach your home from home you'll be impressed by the stone walls which although roughly hewn from a local quarry give the property immense character and charm.
Once inside there is much to delight guests. Arranged over two floors, the barn benefits from a large, very bright sitting room on the first floor, with a bay window framing the magnificent views across the fields towards the coastline. A high ceiling, interspersed with beams, adds to the feeling of space. This is a very welcoming and inviting property with all the modern comforts you could need during your time spent here, whether with your family or as part of a small group of friends.

This is an ideal base for exploring both the north and south coast at the western end of the Cornish peninsula. Your nearest town is St Ives, just four and a half miles away, famous for its art (The Tate St Ives is based here) and full of characterful shops, pubs and restaurants. There is also a picturesque fishing harbour in the heart of the town.
Further afield are Lands End and the Lizard Peninsula, St Michaels Mount (National Trust) and the creeks and inlets of the Falmouth and Helford Rivers, ripe for exploration. The historic port of Penzance is also worth a visit.
On the doorstep of Brunnion Barns are narrow country lanes still bordered by traditional Cornish stone hedges, rich in wild flowers in spring and early summer. If you like a spot of birdwatching then The Saltings and Hayle Estuary are the places to go. You are also in easy reach of the South West Coastal Path for walking and hiking.
Other activites to enjoy at Brunnion Barns are scuba diving, pottery or painting courses, fishing or horse riding which can be pre-booked via the owners so just let them know well in advance and they will do the rest.
"We have returned from a lovely week in Brunnion Barns. The cottage itself was a super size for 4 adults. There are 2 bedrooms, a good kitchen diner and a huge lounge upstairs with views across to an Iron Age hill fort. The cottage has a lovely traditional feel but is modern and well equipped. The location is brilliant: just a short drive from everywhere in Cornwall! We visited the Lizard (40 mins), Lands End (30 mins), Penzance & Marazion (20 mins) and of course St Ives (10 mins to the park and ride for the train). The coastal walks around here are fabulous and there is much to see and do in the area. Hosts Patsy and Roger are so friendly and helpful and keen to help you get the most out of your stay. Would thoroughly recommend and looking forward to returning again in the future!"Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-08-14
"This is a very cosy and at the same time spacious house. We stayed with our two children (4 and 9) and found everything we needed. The owners are very friendly and helpful people. We also were glad that the central heating worked so well because the evenings were rather chilly. We warmly can recommend this accommodation!"Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-08-11
"We were made very welcome by the owners Patsy and Roger, who have lots of local knowledge and provide a welcome treat for guests. It's a homely cottage with all the comforts of home in a great location. Close to St Ives and Carbis Bay but in a peaceful rural setting. A great dog friendly clean cottage without a doggy aroma :)"Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-08-07
