Just a short stroll away you'll find all the local amenities you could need -shops, pubs, restaurants, a beautiful harbour, shingle beach (fishing and boat hire available) and wonderful coastal walks along the South West Coastal Path on the Jurassic Coast (a World Heritage Site) with incredible views at every turn. In August the annual regatta takes place which draws a large crowd and is a major event in Beer's calendar.
If you wish to venture further afield there is plenty to do in the local area.. The coastal towns of Sidmouth, with its genteel charm, and Lyme Regis, with its dramatic cliffs and historic harbour, are eight and ten miles away respectively. Slightly further are the cathedral city of Exeter and Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, can be explored on a day out.
Further inland in both Devon and Dorset, there are plenty of hidden gems to be discovered - quintissential English villages, rolling countryside - which complement the dramatic coastal scenery of the area with its mix of beaches where you can just sit, relax and take it all in.

"Enjoyed our stay in the lovely village of Beer. The flat is in an ideal location and is a welcoming base to come back to. It was a shame that the weather was not kinder to us, but this did not ruin a perfect break. "Chris and Tessa Potton 2017-08-12
