Wroxton, Oxfordshire Cottages
Full of rustic and authentic charm, Spring Cottage occupies a delightful and tranquil setting overlooking the village green and duck pond in the beautiful Wroxton. The property lies in a quiet corner of the village well away the main road. The Wroxton House Hotel is a stone's throw away while the wonderful landscaped gardens and lakes of Wroxton Abbey (College) offer guests lovely walks through the grounds.
The owners of the cottage have devoted much time and effort into re-establishing its original character with it's magnificient oak beams and stone walls. The accommodation is very comfortable and well presented. If you are a keen cyclist wishing to explore the area on two wheels, then you should certainly consider this cosy cottage for short break or longer as there is bike storage available.
Living Room/Dining Room with two sofas, original inglenook fireplace containing an electric wood burning effect stove, TV, DVD player and dining table/chairs.
Kitchen, fully fitted and practical, with oven, Larder Fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. NB tumble dryer in garage.
Family Bathroom with bath and sliding door to separate Shower Room/WC with shower cubicle.
First Floor (via open tread staircase)
Bedroom One with double bed (4ft 6), chest of drawers and view over the village pond. Space for extra single fold-up bed. Bedroom Two with double bed (4ft 6).
Small, paved garden area next to the village pond.
Sorry no pets. Wi-Fi broadband. No smoking. Bike storage available. Cot Available. Extra pull out bed available to sleep one. Off-street parking for 1 large and 1 small car, ample street parking otherwise. Hotel bar within a 5 minute stroll.
When it comes to exploring this much admired part of central England and more specifically, the North Cotswolds, Wroxton could not be better placed. It lies just 10 minutes from Junction 11 of the M40 and the journey time from London is 1hr 15 minutes and Birmingham is 45 minutes.
Stratford on Avon is a 20 minute drive , so too is Warwick Castle. Oxford is 30 minutes away.The honey pot Cotswold villages of Chipping Campden, Stow and Broadway are a 40 minute drive.
The stately homes of Broughton Castle and Compton Verney are within 10 miles away and are well worth a visit during your stay.
For local shopping, pubs and restaurants, the market town of Banbury is just 3 miles away from where there is also easy access to the M40 motorway.
