Forest of Dean & Wye Valley Cottages
Rarely will there be the chance to stay in such a glorious home set within an ancient and historic Grade II* listed country house. It is England at its finest! Occupying the entire first floor of the South East wing of Dean Hall Country House, Dean Hall Apartment is not small - on the contrary it is a very spacious and well appointed apartment that offers two large bedrooms and bathrooms plus a large living room and separate kitchen diner - all of which make it as attractive for a family, couple or small group of friends wishing to stay in an exceptional property and location. Inside the property is immaculate and cosy with careful thought given to the quality of furnishings which match the feel of this stunning building.
Outside, guests have the shared use of the beautiful and extensive grounds (four acres of grounds!) that surround the house, including a grass tennis court and croquet lawn. Not only this, but guests are invited to help themselves in the fruit and vegetable gardens to home grown produce - how perfectly healthy is that!!
We love it here, the peace and the space (inside and out) make it a unique home where you can roam freely and quietly, play to your heart's content or alternatively enjoy the wonders of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley on your doorstep.
Step back in time to a relaxing base for a holiday in this unspoilt and interesting part of Gloucestershire.

A fantastic location for exploring the woods and paths of the Forest of Dean - a paradise for walkers and cyclists, and the Cotswolds is not far either (Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Cheltenham Races are great attractions). If watersports are more to your liking then you have the River Severn close by or the River Wye a little further away.
For a day out, why not visit some of the fascinating historic sites and buildings the region has to offer. Symond's Yat, a famous beauty spot on the Wye, and the magnificent ruins of Tintern Abbey further downstream are both 30 minutes drive away. A little further afield are Offa's Dyke Path, the Welsh Border castles, the historic cities of Gloucester and Worcester and the Cotswolds.
Almost on the doorstep is the attractive Georgian village of Newnham-on-Severn which provides local shopping.
