Arranged over three floors, the accommodation sits within unusual, hexagonal shaped rooms offering a unique experience. A lot of thought and care has gone into the renovation of the property and the interior is stylishy decorated and furnished to a very high standard throughout. Outside you have your own patio with lovely views over the surrounding area. You'll be intrigued and delighted by this extremely distinctive hideaway, the perfect place to relax in this lovely area.
Access is via stone steps and a lit pathway.

Living Room with wood burning stove, two armchairs, writing table and sash windows with internal shutters offering fine views over the owners' grounds.
Access to exterior spiral staircase.
Bedroom One (via internal antique spiral staircase) with king size bed (5ft), dressing table and small Ensuite Shower Room/WC.
Private, paved patio with gas barbecue outside front door. Exclusive use of the grounds surrounding the Folly comprising of rolling lawns, mature trees and an attractive fishpond with stone seating. Guests can marvel at the view from a hill top position across to the attractive market town of Mere. The area is set apart from the from the owners lawned garden and is secluded with shrubs and stone walling.
One small, well behaved dog by arrangement. Unsuitable for infirm adults, babies or children due to spiral staircases. No smoking. Pubs and shops in Mere, one mile away (20 minute walk across fields).
The Folly lies at the end of an impressive, tree-lined avenue, once the drive of a large country house. It is situated in an elevated position in the mid 19th century as an observation tower for the ladies of the big house to watch the Hunt over neighbouring fields below.
On the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset and about a mile from the village of Mere (shops, pubs and a well-known wine importer), The Folly at Castlebridge is particularly well-placed for a wide variety of visitor attractions. The magnificent Palladian mansion of Stourhead (National Trust) and its world-famous gardens are only two miles away, while The Georgian city of Bath (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Salisbury and Wells with their superb Cathedrals, Stonehenge, Longleat Safari Park and Cheddar Gorge and Caves are all less than an hour's drive. The South Dorset coast and the New Forest National Park are not much further. The Folly also offers superb walking (route maps provided), with ?The Monarch's Way? accessible just off the driveway.
