Tisbury, Wiltshire Cottages
As the name implies, there actually is clematis growing around the front door of Clematis Cottage, a charming Wiltshire stone cottage. It offers the perfect blend of old and new (the original building dates from the early 17th century while the extension was added in the 20th century), combining a feeling of age and history with modern comforts and a tremendous sense of space and light.
Sympathetically decorated and furnished in warm colours, the cottage feels cosy and inviting as soon as you set foot in it. Sliding glass doors from the main sitting room and the large kitchen provide access to the back garden with its spectacular views while upstairs you'll find bright and attractive bedrooms, one of the two doubles being particularly spacious.

"Our stay at clematis cottage was idyllic. The area is beautiful and our views across the valley were spectacular. The cottage had ample room for our family of five and included everything we needed to entertain my parents for dinner. The dishwasher, microwave and brand new washing machine made life easy for Mum too! We had a wonderful time exploring Dorset. The cottage was perfectly located for visits to Gold Hill, Salisbury and the Dorset coast, and only a little further to Bath. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quintessentially British countryside experience."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-09-16
"Clematis cottage is a nice mixture old at the front and modern extension at the rear to take in the stunning views of the valley. Good size garden for the dogs and barbecues. Very good network of footpaths from the cottage and quiet roads for cycling also some lovely pubs for meals. If you want a nice relaxing holiday Clematis is for you."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-01-13
"We had a great time in this magical part of Wiltshire - frosty days and starry nights - Good walking and good pubs to aim for! Clematis Cottage was very comfortable and with everything we needed - the heating kept us cosy even on the sub-zero nights, and the fire was wonderful. Some bumped heads, but the taller ones soon learnt to duck! Thanks!"Mr Schenk and family 2017-01-01
