Pewsey, Wiltshire Cottages
One of three delightful cottages, The Burrow forms part of a development at Conygre Farm situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Pewsey Vale. Perfect for a rural getaway, this former farm building has been sympathetically converted into top-notch holiday accommodation. These really are cottages with bags of character.
Inside you'll find double height ceilings with exposed timber beams giving a really spacious feel. Careful thought has gone into the look and style of the interior, mixing the traditional with the modern to elegant effect. Plus there's the added attraction of an integral indoor heated swimming pool, easily accessible from each cottage and, in the case of The Burrow or The Warren, without the need even to step outside.
The Burrow is ideal to rent alongside H130 - The Warren and H131 - The Cart Shed for larger groups or for several families wishing to holiday together, with dining for up to 21 in The Burrow's open plan living area. (Outside catering can be arranged). The Burrow and The Warren are at either end of an indoor walkway adjacent to the swimming pool and The Old Cart Shed adjoins The Warren.

In the local area The Kennet & Avon Canal, just a mile away, offers narrow boat trips while the ancient Savernake Forest, (3 miles) is good for walks and picnics. The area is rich in prehistoric, archaeological sites such as Avebury, Stonehenge and Silbury Hill while the historic cities of Bath, Oxford and Salisbury are within an hour's drive. The nearest market town is Marlborough (7 miles) while nearby Pewsey has a main line rail link to London, good local shops and a supermarket.
"We enjoyed walking in a new area, Caen Locks, Avebury etc.. The accommodation was excellent and perfect for a group."Ms Mary Shaheen 2017-05-27
"Spent 4 days in this wonderful cottage. Extremely clean, very nice interior, very tasty home-made welcome cake from the owners. Two children at 9 & 7 loved the indoor pool and the "games/craft" room. We loved the fact you are in the middle of nowhere and yet within easy journey to Winchester/Salisbury, Marlborough High Street 10/15 min, good local golf and lots to see in aforementioned towns. Local area of Crofton Beam Engine and Devizes lock system well worth seeing and walks on the Kennet Avon Canal. In combination with the other two cottages I think it sleeps about 20 so planning a family get together to rent the lot. Very positive on the owners who were almost invisible during our stay and very impressed that upon return of our deposit they actually took the time to send us a hand written note thanking us for the cleanliness we left the cottage in and hoping we enjoyed our stay. We certainly did and the only downside was we didn't book a week. Highly recommended."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-05-04
