Shrewton, Wiltshire Cottages
Drovers' Barn is a wonderful home from home with a wealth of exposed beams, high ceilings and old pine floor. Tucked away down a country lane, you'll really feel like you are getting away from it all as you look out onto the idyllic, two acre garden bordering the River Till, shared with the owners whose thatched cottage is close by.
Considerable care and attention has been taken with the lighting and decor making this an inviting and welcoming space for a family or small group of friends. The bathroom is particularly stunning with its exposed brick feature wall and classic, roll-top bath. It's no wonder previous guests have commented so positively on their stay here.
The beautiful garden, which has been lovingly planted with shrubs and flowers, is a great setting for kicking back in sunny weather. While you're outdoors, why not take some time getting to know the owners rare breed pigs - so cute!

Shrewton is a great, central location offering a practical base for touring the area, yet no more than a couple of hours drive from central London via the A303. It also has all the local amenities you might need with a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.
Nearby are Wiltshire's most famous pre-historic sites, Stonehenge and Avebury while the cathedral city of Salisbury and the World Heritage city of Bath are all within easy driving distance with plenty of attractions to explore in both.
Wending you way to Salisbury by car, you'll pass a string of pretty villages nestling in the picturesque Wylye and Woodford valleys. There are many attractive cottages of stone, flint and chalk, traditional country pubs and good walking in the water meadows and on the chalk downland ridges above.
For keen golfers there is an excellent course at High Post, near Amesbury.
"Sitting at the edge of the village of Shrewton in Wiltshire, this barn conversion is a really lovely cottage in a peaceful, cottage garden setting. Its close to services, but feels like its in the heart of rural England. Its also brilliantly placed to see attractions like Stonehenge (a few minutes away) and Salisbury, with its beautiful medieval city centre and magnificent cathedral. Hosts Brian and Christian were warm and friendly, helpful with suggestions for places to eat or see, and very accommodating when we needed some help accessing facilities. We loved this barn and if we weren't already booked ahead we would be staying on longer. Quick tip: try The Boot Inn for a meal - brilliant!"Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-07-09
