The land immediately surrounding the tower and owner's adjoining cottage is part of a working farm (pigs and sheep) and the owner herself keeps ducks and horses. If you enjoy walking, riding or cycling this location is made for you with immediate access onto the Ox Drove, which extends for miles along a chalk ridge and offers stunning panoramas to the north over South Wiltshire's chalk valleys and downland and to the south across Hampshire and Dorset.
Within easy driving distance are a whole host of visitor attractions such as Wilton House, Stonehenge, Longleat, Stourhead, the cathedral city of Salisbury and the World Heritage city of Bath. The New Forest is only about 20 minutes away while Dorset's Jurassic coastline is a must for a day's excursion. More locally there are many picture-book villages with fine houses, ancient churches and good country pubs to discover.
