The New Forest is only about 20 minutes away while Dorset's “Jurassic” coastline is a must for a day's excursion. More locally there are many picture-book villages with fine houses, ancient churches and good country pubs to discover.
"The Pink Tower is a lovely place to stay with everything you could want or need provided. The owners are absolutely delightful and couldn't have done enough for us, but were not at all intrusive. The perferct balance. The Tower is set on a working farm with brilliant views and attractive walks. We found the locals and the village of Broadchalke to be very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend The Pink Tower!"Cheryl Titherley
"We stayed at the Pink Tower over Christmas. We were looking forward to it, my one reservation was that while it looked an absolutely dreamlike location for the summer months it might be a bit cramped if it was too cold and we had to stay indoors. We were completely wrong, the Pink Tower is so cleverly designed there is lots of room for two people to spread out and enjoy themselves and it was warm and very snug. Perfectly located on the Dorset Downs, you can strike out fas easily for the Dorset Coast, or the New Forest or up into the Cotswolds. There are also plenty of great pubs within a 15 minute drive (our favourite was The Museum in Farnham). But the unexpected highlight of our visit; waking up each morning at around 8am, and having coffee while draped on the sofa in the upstairs living room, and watching the sun slowly rise above the mist with magical light coming in via the spacious windows. Highly recommended place."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2017-01-09
"Booked this cottage for a chill out week with our dog having just retired. Was lovely, comfortable and warm with superb walks straight from the door. Although we stayed during a period of very strong winds the cottage was lovely and warm with no drafts. Really cosy and relaxing. Beautiful area and we also travelled out to visit Stonehenge, Studland Bay and Stourhead NT property all within reasonable driving distance. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay were included in the cottage and there were several local pubs within easy reach providing good evening meals. The pub at Broadchalke is within easy reach and a lovely walk down the bridleways and back, of around 2 miles each way, to stop off at the pub was very enjoyable. Many other circular walks straight from the door were possible along the Ox Drove, footpaths and bridleways along the chalk downs, riverside and woods. We had a fantastic and really enjoyable stay here."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2016-02-17
