Salisbury is one of the premier locations in southern England, packed full of things to do and places to visit. Described by some as 'the city in the countryside', Salisbury is surrounded by a landscape so quintessentially English it's almost too good to be true. Take a moment to sit on the edge of the water-meadows and, with the impressive Cathedral rising up from these lush green fields in your sight, it's easy to understand why Salisbury was named as one of the world's Top 10 Cities to visit in 2015 by Lonely Planet. You will find timbered builings a-plenty, the classic, English Gothic Cathedral which is home to some of the best-preserved copies of the Magna Carta, a thriving market, museums and some of England's finest historic houses within the Cathedral Close.
For those appreciating a little culture, the city has a flourishing theatre the Salisbury Playhouse and hosts an annual international arts festival in May.
While Salisbury itself offers a wealth of visitor attractions, the surrounding area also boasts a huge range of sites to explore. Top of the 'not to be missed' list are prehistoric Stonehenge, stately homes and gardens such as Wilton House, Longleat and Stourhead and the unique landscape of the New Forest National Park.
"Charter Court condo was clean, close to City Centre and all attractions. It had all the amenities at your finger tips. It was very well equipped and comfortable. The grounds in the back courtyard were immaculate along with the entrance and hallways. I would certainly recommend this to all my friends and would not hesitate to book a future return. Angus was there to meet us and was very pleasant and helpful."Guest's review on TripAdvisor 2014-10-11
