Set on a Wiltshire hilltop, Seend is a small village with its origins in the 12th century. Its long High Street is bordered by numerous pretty cottages and houses, some of which date from Tudor times. The oldest part of the village church has its roots in the 15th century but has been added to since. Three pubs are within close reach – The Barge Inn alongside the Kennet and Avon Canal, the Brewery Inn in Seend Cleeve and The Three Magpies in Sells Green – and there’s a small village stores and Post Office.
