Close to the A38 and right on the edge of Dartmoor, Ivybridge is a small town with its origins in the 13th century. Named after the only means of crossing the river at the time, the medieval bridge still stands today. If you’re keen on walking then the town is a great place to base yourself with the Two Moors Way and the Devon Coast to Coast paths on the doorstep. It’s a vibrant town with a wide selection of shops, pubs and restaurants many of which are independently run.
