The property

The Little Barn is a detached property standing in the grounds of a 15th century farmhouse in the Weald of Kent between Benenden and Cranbook.

There are 6 acres of paddocks, and beyond them a backdrop of rolling countryside and woodland.

From the garden there is immediate access onto a public footpath.

Overlooked by a historic medieval church named in the Doomsday book in 1086, this pretty rural village is located in the Weald of Kent, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by spectacular countryside, the village is home to a large open green, a popular local pub and an excellent local shop selling everyday essentials and local specialities. Many of the roads are lined with pretty chocolate box tiled cottages traditionally using tiles historically made from local clays. Walkers have much to explore with Hemsted Forest’s 1,200 acres of woodland just 3 miles away. Nearby National Trust properties include Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens (2 miles) and Bodium and Scotney Castles. The 13th century port of Rye is just 11 miles away home to antique shops, galleries and historic inns. Royal Tunbridge Wells is within easy reach should you wish to explore this vibrant spa town whether to sample to renowned Well water or discover the boutique shops before catching a performance at one of the many theatres. Camber Sands beach is just 17 miles away should you wish to simply relax by the sea.
