Sarah “This is our second stay at The Tallet and we love it.”
The location is perfect for us and where we want to go and the cottage itself is fabulous. It is clean and welcoming and has ample space. We fit two adult and three kids (age 6,3 and 1) in the cottage. As the kids age we would definitely consider staying in the larger one next door. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Martin “This is an exceptional property set in the outbuildings of Manor Farm , a historic ex medieval priory set in 1000 acres of beautiful Hampshire countryside.”
The Hosts are welcoming and a minor request was promptly attended to . It's very quiet and fittings are to the highest standard. Would highly recommend for anyone planning to visit this area.
- Martin, May 2019Aubrey “I have little to add other than the TV was overly complicated to sort,I also had to fix the aerial into the freeview box,no big deal, the toaster is not very good minor points what was otherwise a great place to stay and will rebook and recommend to anyone that asks many thanks.”
I have only mentioned the small quibbles as you are obviously aiming at the best experience for your clients who are a paying a premium. Many thanks.
- Aubrey, December 2018Alison “We had a fantastic mini break at the Tallet.”
We have a 2 year old and the location and the cottage were perfect. The cottage was wonderfully equipped, excellent WIFI, easy parking and the comfiest beds. I could not recommend it highly enough - I hope we will be back one day
- Alison, November 2018Chadwick “A very clean well presented holiday cottage in a beautiful location.”
Rockbourne is the most idyllic village.
- Chadwick,Guests' review on TripAdvisor “We found this cottage last minute and couldn't have been more pleased.”
Set in beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful. Yet lots of attractions a short car journey away. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the cottage. You enter into a lovely big utility room. Perfect for bikes, shoes, wellies etc. It also contained a large fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer. The next room was a lovely family room. Well equipped kitchen containing a dishwasher and everything you needed. Even down to spare dishwasher tablets, tea towels, tea, coffee and sugar. Lovely surprise to see a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. Very large bathroom containing a shower and toilet. (Very good wheel chair access). Upstairs were two bedrooms and a bathroom. Very comfy beds and duvets. The cottage was very clean. This is a super cottage with lots of little extras. Lovely toiletries, bathrobes and stunning view from the twin bedroom. The router for the Wi-Fi needed rebooting, as no Internet access. But was soon working once that was done. Everyone on the farm was very friendly. This cottage would be perfect to stay in summer or winter. It has a lovely homely feel. Can't wait to go back.
- Guests' review on TripAdvisor,Mr & Mrs Nagy “Wonderful cottage.”
Absolutely perfect for our family. We enjoyed the many footpaths and it was the perfect location for our numerous trips to Bournemouth, Corfe Castle, Durdle Door, Old Wardour Castle, Old Sarum and many more. Thanks for sharing this cottage with us. We would love to come back.
- Mr & Mrs Nagy,Mrs Walker “A really charming cottage, very well equipped and beautifully furnished.”
We loved our stay very much and hope we can come again - lovely countryside.
- Mrs Walker,Guest's review on TripAdvisor “This is a lovely property with plenty of character but modern & comfortable too.”
The beds & pillows were very comfortable & towels were soft & fluffy. The property heated up quickly too on our return from a day out and was very cosy. The kitchen was very well equipped. The only slight negative was the shower pressure which seemed to ebb & flow so it took a long time to rinse shampoo out! We stayed for a 3 night winter break with our teenage daughter & dog. There was a utility/boot room which was perfect for the wet dog & muddy boots. The village of Rockbourne is very pretty & we were able to do a lovely walk from the cottage, we would recommend the local dog friendly pub. The Tallet is ideally located for exploring the New Forest but also only 45 minutes from the coast & we would definitely recommend staying here.

Fantastic accommodation, luxury throughout with amazing beds !!!!
- Guest's review on TripAdvisor,Guest's review on TripAdvisor “We stayed in The Tallet for a long weekend in August and had a wonderful time.”
The accommodation is spacious and very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The downstairs bathroom in particular is very large and Manor Farm, in which The Tallet is located, certainly has the wow factor. Driving into the courtyard made me feel 'to the manor born' every time. We took our dog along and she loved the walks which extend all around the farm. I cannot fault this property, it was well located with a lovely pub, The Rose & Thistle, just a 3 minute walk up the road.
- Guest's review on TripAdvisor,Guest's review on TripAdvisor “Modern, clean and beautifully refurbished farm cottage.”
Set in a 1000 acres of farm land in a small village with a wonderful pub! The perfect place for a quiet getaway yet near to larger the end if needed. We took our dog and our worry was that the cottage could carry the smells and hairs of previously pets.... This was not the case, no sign of any past occupants!
- Guest's review on TripAdvisor,Guest's review on TripAdvisor “My husband and I stayed here for two weeks with our two children ages almost 2 and almost 4.”
We had a fantastic stay and thought the accommodations were very comfortable and very well thought out. It was a perfect home away from home. We love how secluded it was and the many walking trails available behind the cottage. It was in the perfect location for us to visit family and embark on many day trips. We went to Bournemouth, Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Old Sarum, Old Wardour Castle, Exbury Gardens as well as the Highclere Country Show and Thatcham. We also spent a day in London by taking train from Salisbury. Moreover we did a small amount of damage to the cottage as we had an accident on the stairs, but the owners still returned some of our deposit, which was most unexpected. All in all we had a wonderful vacation and loved this cottage. We would definitely consider staying here again on future trips.
- Guest's review on TripAdvisor,Guests' review on TripAdvisor “Stayed for the weekend, very clean and comfortable great location.”
The pub just down the road has a lovely garden and we had a good meal there. Had £100 deposit back 2 days after leaving. Some lovely walks in village. Would recommend and hopefully stay again.
- Guests' review on TripAdvisor,Mrs Fahey “Just a small note to say thanks indeed for finding us The Tallet at the '11th hour.”
' We had a lovely stay at the cottage; its very well appointed and Jane, the owner is lovely. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed being on a working farm and my Mum visiting from New Zealand loved the rural setting.
- Mrs Fahey,Guest's review on TripAdvisor “Would recommend this place to anyone.”
On arrival all the things we needed to start our trip, tea, coffee and bubbly in the fridge. The accommodation was spotless, bedding and pillows to a high quality and soft fluffy towels\ Local pub that sells the best food ever so all you need.Took my French bulldog whom loved the walks and pub visits. We will be back this year. Only thing I would advise you need a torch as it is very dark walking down the lanes.\ Will be back very soon.
