Anna “It's a lovely cottage in a lovely location.”
However the arrangements on arrival were pretty unsatisfactory. I had contacted the host a week in advance to ask about check in. She'd given me the wrong code to the key safe and was then completely uncontactable on the day of arrival. Luckily we were still in working hours and could get the correct code from Manor cottages. But not being contactable on check in day is pretty poor form. She then only called me the next day and didn't e en apologise for giving me the wrong code. She said the key safe had been left on the correct code. But how would I have known that at the time if I'd been expecting a different code. Also what if we had had a different problem that Manor cottages couldn't fix over the phone? I just think on the day your guests arrive you need to answer your phone.
- Anna, September 2019Kimberley “We stayed for the wedding of my daughter.”
The hostess Jane could not have been nicer. Allowing us early access to store dresses and gifts. Complimentary champagne on arrival. The cottage was beautifully decorated. Dressing gowns for all and fantastically well equipped. Lovely soaps and hand creams. The surroundings are stunning. Country Pub nearby and very peaceful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wishing a little luxury and a stress free stay.
- Kimberley, September 2019Alan “Very well appointed house.”

- Chris, July 2019Mrs Hargreaves “I just wanted to send a note to say what a wonderful time we all had at Stable Cottage this weekend.”
The setting was perfect, pub, walking and tennis were great and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
- Mrs Hargreaves,Guest's review on TripAdvisor “We absolutely loved our stay at Stable Cottage.”
The location for us was perfect to explore The New Forest. The cottage was very clean and well presented, the beds were extremely comfortable. The only down point was the WiFi signal was a little poor for our teenagers, however it made them put down there phones for a while....... We used the bar-b-que a lot and ate outside which was lovely and the boys could get a decent WiFi signal. We had no problems and would definitely stay again.

As there were 10 of us we also rented the adjoining cottage - The Tallet. Both premises were clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Being situated on a working farm it is a very peaceful location and has plenty of scope for walking.

The owners were most helpful. The facilities could not be faulted, and there is great privacy. We stayed to be able to assist our daughter with her wedding preparations.
