“Wow, what stunning accommodation and fabulous location.”
\
We booked Wilton cottage for a long getaway and were instantly thrilled with its location, privacy, and space . \
We came from Australia with two children not knowing what to expect and what we found was our home away from home.\
\
Location \
It was an easy, picturesque walk to the heart of the city, the cathedral. Restaurants, parks , grocery stores, pubs and sailsbury nightlife all accessible through walking . The train station to London is minutes away, should you wish to travel in for the day. There is a parking permit should you require one , but at times parking is difficult to find . ( but honestly not essential if visiting sailsbury) there are public car parks further down the road if you feel you need a car. All within a walking distance .\
\
House \
It is exactly as the description says , newly renovated, clean and fresh. Suits 4 and open plan living . Full kitchen for home cooking . Private court yard . Plenty of space for living . We in all honesty have no complaints in Wilton Cottage. \
\
Owner \
The Owner was accessible whenever we needed her to be, from teaching us to use door locks to offering babysitting services. There was no question we felt we could not ask .\
This is a lovely beautiful cottage, we highly recommend it. Should you choose to stay here you will fall in love with this gem, and like us never want to leave . This cottage will be very popular, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else ! \
Thank you for a beautiful experience in your country and your town . \
\
Almost forgot ' Stonehenge ' ! If your here to visit Stonehenge, then this is the home for you . A quite walk into town and a $10 bus ride to Stonehenge or a short drive, then you can tick that off your bucket list like we did! Amazing! \

About the location
SALISBURY
Andover 17 miles; Southampton 23 miles
The medieval city of Salisbury is the jewel in Wiltshire's crown, dominated by the majestic 13th century Gothic cathedral. The cathedral offers 750 years of history including Britain's tallest spire, the world's best preserved original Magna Carta, and Europe's oldest working clock. The surrounding cathedral close, full of architectural gems, is bordered by the River Avon and ancient Chilmark stone walls. The city offers historic streets with charming half-timbered buildings, traditional pubs, characterful shops and a twice-weekly market. Or, stroll along the Town Path and take in the awe-inspiring views across the water meadows towards the cathedral. After dark, there's a thriving arts scene, including one of the country's leading repertory theatres, a lively arts centre, cinema and a wealth of independent restaurants. Should you want to explore further afield then a short drive from Salisbury takes you to Stonehenge, the National Trust's Stourhead House and gardens, majestic Wilton House, as well as the New Forest National Park, and the Hampshire and Dorset coasts. There's so much to see and do in Salisbury and surrounding area that your only concern will be finding the time to do it all!
