The property

Gull's Rest is set high on the hillside and with magnificent views over the village of Beer - a finalist in Village of the Year 2018 - the harbour, the sea (as far as Weymouth and Portland on a clear day) and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast.

You will not be disappointed by this superbly appointed house providing guests with a luxurious base from which to enjoy all the pleasures of this popular area.

Gull's Rest is one of those rare houses which inspires an involuntary gasp of delight when you first catch sight of the views it offers.

The owners carefully extended the original house to take full advantage of the amazing views, both from inside the house (most of the front of the sitting room is glass and the vast master bedroom has a similar front wall and a balcony) and from the attractive terraced gardens immediately Outside .

With its superb facilities - state-of-the-art kitchen with granite work-tops, generous bath and shower rooms (including a sauna) - and its general air of welcome, Gull's Rest qualifies on all counts as the perfect base for an unforgettable holiday in this lovely area

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

About the location

BEER

Seaton 1.5 miles; Lyme Regis 9 miles; Sidmouth 9.5 miles; Exeter 25 miles.

Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction. Beer is situated on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the village offers sloping streets lined with picturesque stone houses and cottages built on many different levels of the steep valley sides. There are a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs in Beer, plus just outside the village is the popular Pecorama Gardens, which are perched on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay. Pecorama boasts the Beer Heights Light Railway and indoor model railway exhibition, along with a children's play area. Beer is a unique Devon fishing village and a great place to stay.

Note: The property has a Good House Keeping Bond of £100
