    “Lovely place to stay.”

Was made very welcome. A Delicious welcome pack left of fresh scones, homemade Jam and local wine. A well equipped cottage with very comfy beds. Beautiful garden even in the winter, plus got to see it in the snow. Very central to most places and not far from restaurants/pubs that served good food.

The property

Dean Hall is a superb Grade II* English country house on the National Register of Historic Places, and it comes with access to its surrounding four acres of parkland and gardens.

Dean Hall Apartment, located on the first floor of the South East wing, is a luxurious, large, and well-presented option that has been recognised with 4 stars Gold by Visit England.

The Apartment has its own separate entrance.

It is on the first floor of the South East wing and accessed up some steep stairs, with banisters on both sides.

During the Civil War, conflicts occurred on this beautiful property in the 1660’s, adding to its rich historical significance.

The beautiful Forest of Dean is only a short stroll away, and it offers an extensive choice of hiking and cycling trails.

The Hall is reached by ornate cast-iron gates and a lengthy drive lined with over 350-year-old sweet chestnut trees and millions of mauve crocuses in the spring.

The apartment has been renovated to an incredibly high degree, and its interior is south-facing, airy, and extremely big, encompassing approx. 1200 sq ft.

Sunlight pours into the living area during the warmer months.

There is a woodburning stove for use during the cooler months, and a starter pack of logs, kindling, and firelighters is included.

Located in a pristine area of Gloucestershire, Dean Hall is a wonderful home base for exploring the region.

This home is a wonderful choice for couples, friends and families as it enjoys a wealth of conveniences and easy access to the popular surrounding areas.

The expansive and lovely grounds surrounding the house are available for guest usage.

Relax with a drink or a meal while taking in the scenery at one of the many available seating areas.

If you're feeling active, there's a lawn tennis court that can double as a croquet court.

Tennis players will need to bring their own racquets, as the owners only supply mallets.

The guests are free to help themselves to whatever is in season from the orchard, soft fruit section, and vast vegetable garden.

Homemade scones or cake and marmalade are included in the welcome pack.

Tea, coffee, sugar, butter, milk, and cooking oil are included as well as other pantry staples as a sort of "starting kit." Dean Hall is conveniently located close to a wide variety of outdoor pursuits, and it features a barn where guests can safely store their bicycles, canoes, and kayaks.

One convenient feature is a heated boot room where damp shoes and clothes can be dried.

The Forest of Dean and the River Severn are both within easy access of this property, making it ideal for those who enjoy outdoor recreation.
