“While the property listings mention the M4 being across 3 fields with the chance of noise, there was no mention of the road 40 feet from the front door with traffic 24/7 varying from a couple of cars a hour to around 150 cars an hour at peak times.”
The 2 week holiday was spoilt by the neighbouring properties residents being rude and threatening to my wife and pet dog Monty, because he had the nerve to bark. We do not go on holiday to have people in an adjoining property bumping and banging around because they rented the cottage to work in the area. This has been brought to the attention of the owners and Sykes Cottages. Spoilt what was a brilliant holiday. Hope the next occupants dont have the same problem.
The road in front of the property is unclassified and single track with passing places. The number of cars reported passing at peak times can occasionally be high if for any reason the M4 or adjoining road has an incident. We can only assume this is what happened.
Our details request dogs be kept on a lead but unfortunately this was not adhered to. The neighbours who only arrived 3 nights before the end of Mr and Mrs Myhill's stay have explained a phobia of dogs as 1 of them had been bitten in the past by a small dog. Unfortunately it seems that Mr and Mrs Myhill were intent on finding fault. We received unjustified complaints from the 2nd day of their stay. Kind regards Property Owner
