“We had a very enjoyable time at The Toll House - the property is well-equipped and we liked the quirkiness of it.”

There were only a couple of minor issues i.e. the very bright street light which shone into the bedroom windows at night- we had to block it by putting pillows at the window each night! Perhaps blackout curtains could be installed; also a gate to the garden would have been nice for privacy and security, particularly for clients with children. There were only a couple of minor issues i.e. the very bright street light which shone into the bedroom windows at night- we had to block it by putting pillows at the window each night! Perhaps blackout curtains could be installed; also a gate to the garden would have been nice for privacy and security, particularly for clients with children. These are just minor quibbles, and everything else was lovely and we enjoyed sitting by the river in the garden watching the wildlife (even saw a kingfisher). The only thing which was a little irritating was the day we were leaving, when the cleaners arrived at 9.58a.m. as we were getting our belongings together ready to leave, and insisted on coming in as they "had 6 properties to clean" that day. Whilst not actually being rude, two of them were upstairs and had the beds stripped before we had even taken the suitcases downstairs, and the other one hovered in the kitchen while I emptied the last minute items from the fridge, waiting to clean the shower room,( which made us feel slightly uncomfortable about using the toilet before leaving), and removing all towels before we had washed our hands. We understand there is a time for vacating a property, but felt it would have been polite to wait outside for for a few minutes.
