There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
Anyone enjoying Dorset cottage holidays this weekend will find that there are plenty of firework displays happening throughout the county. For anyone who has yet to decide which fireworks display they want to head to, the crème de la crème can be found at the Wimborne and Colehill Fireworks on 3rd November.
Billed as Dorset’s longest fireworks display at 20 minutes long, the event at St Michael’s C of E Middle School is guaranteed to get a huge number of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’. Last year, an impressive 15,210 fireworks were fired and the plans for this year are even bigger. For the kids, there will also be a supervised sparkler zone and professional catering for a hot bite to eat for all.
Tickets can be pre-booked at Wimborne Tourist Information Centre, and one of these lucky ticket holders will be invited to hit the trigger to start this year’s display! Gates open at 4.30pm and there will a variety of entertainment and competitions before the grand display at 7pm.
