When you visit the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean this summer, you will be spoilt for choice...
Autumn brings with it piles of leaves, wrapping up warm and hearty evening meals, so there is no better place to celebrate the arrival of Autumn than at the Wiltshire Game and Country Fair.
The beautiful and impressive grounds of the Bowood Estate will host the annual fair, and all that space means that the entertainment for the day can really spread its wings. There will be a Birds of Prey exhibition featuring native and exotic birds, and kids and grown ups alike have the chance to get up close to them.
In addition to the Falconry Village there will be a Craft Village complete with working demonstrations of contemporary and traditional arts and crafts. The food area will be enticing people in with the smells and sounds of chefs preparing some tasty delights, and even cider tasting is included in the entry fee.
The Wiltshire Game and Country Fair will, of course, also have plenty of craft, food and drink stalls from which locals and visitors staying in Wiltshire cottages can purchase some local produce. The fair looks to be a highlight of the season, so head to Bowood Estate on 22nd-23rd September for a great day out.
