This beautiful Georgian house is hosting a Christmas event, which promises to provide a festive atmosphere for all those that visit during the 4th-5th December. The elaborate Bowood House will be dressed for Christmas and will present numerous stalls offering a variety of gifts, perfect for finding presents to give to family and friends. What’s more, there will also be carols in the Chapel, with roaring fires and candles, as well as warming food and mulled wine for the ultimate Christmas experience.
This festive fayre is perfect for all ages, with local businesses selling fantastic goods and produce, as well as providing entertainment for younger children. This means that those attending the event will be able to continue with Christmas shopping, while also ensuring that the younger ones are kept occupied with fun activities. Taking place at the Atrium County Hall in Trowbridge on December 11th, there will be performances from a number of local choirs, as well as demonstrations by a balloon modelling expert and surprise visits from two winter princesses.
Celebrate the joys of Christmas at Salisbury Cathedral on the 24th December and choose from a variety of services to attend. Whether you wish to visit with your loved ones and enjoy a family service, partake in a choral evensong or would like to experience Midnight Mass, the cathedral has plenty planned for those that wish to rejoice with others on Christmas Eve when staying in a cosy country cottage in Salisbury. The cathedral will also still be hosting its light installation by Bruce Munro, which features the Star of Bethlehem, adding to this special experience.
