When you visit the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean this summer, you will be spoilt for choice...
The latest marketing campaign developed by VisitEngland could soon see a rise in the number of people staying in English country cottages around some of the UK's most romantic cities. Their 2013 campaign is set to encourage domestic tourism by highlighting the appeal of staying in the most romantic heritage cities in England.
Four key themes will be covered in the campaign: coast, countryside, heritage and culture. Some of the destinations which will be included in the campaign include Bath, Oxford, London, Salisbury, York, Chester and Stratford-upon-Avon. Whilst London is teeming with museums, galleries and restaurants for an urban getaway, cities such as Salisbury and Bath offer a relaxed city break with plenty of heritage to discover.
These cities offer a fantastic tourism experience, particularly in terms of culture. All are ideal places to visit whilst enjoying a romantic stay in holiday cottages in England and the campaign by Visit England hopes to highlight what romance we can find right on our doorsteps.
