VisitBritain has released details of its annual review which has announced that they are expecting a 3% increase in visitor numbers next year. The tourism company have predicted that this year's incredible success will result in a surge of interest in enjoying a cottage holiday in the UK.
The last couple of years have seen the spotlight firmly placed on the UK, with the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games gaining the attention of the whole world.
Since May 2010, visitor numbers are reported to have increased by 3% in volume and 8% in value, and VisitBritain believes that the results of 2012 will show a 3% increase in those wanting to stay in holiday cottages in Sussex and other areas of the UK in 2013. With all of the fascinating history, beautiful scenery and exciting cultural experiences to be found in the country, it really is a great destination for those who live abroad and in the UK.
