When you visit the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean this summer, you will be spoilt for choice...
Some of the finest produce in the UK can be found in the south of the country, and in the New Forest this autumn there is a Local Producers’ Market which will certainly be showcasing just that.
On 13th October, 10th November and 8th December, from 9am to 1pm each day, local farmers and small holders from the New Forest area will be allowing locals and visitors staying in New Forest cottages to have the chance to buy straight from the producers themselves.
Each market promises to be a unique experience, with the variety of home-grown products including honey, bread, eggs, beef, pork, cheese, cakes, wool, local game and vegetables. Chat with the farmers and small holders and find out about their produce, from how best to use it to discovering all that goes into making it.
So, for a morning spent finding the best, freshest local produce around, pay a visit to Plaitford Village Hall in the New Forest on those selected dates.
