There’s so much going on in Wiltshire this summer, we can’t wait to get out and about and visit...
World-class music will be coming to Wiltshire this October when Crispian Steel-Perkins, one of the world’s most famous trumpet soloists, is in town for a musical treat.
On Saturday 13th October, Crispian Steel-Perkins will be performing at St John the Baptist Church in Chirton, Devizes, and both locals and visitors staying in Wiltshire cottages will be able to hear some classical trumpet tunes from a magnificent trumpet player.
He has previously played with a number of classical stars, including Dame Kiri te Kanawa and James Bowman, and for his concert at Chirton he will be performing some of his favourite pieces from the likes of Handel, Gershwin, Hayden, Mozart and Glen Miller, and demonstrating the technical brilliance that made the trumpet tunes of the 17th and 18th centuries so popular.
Tickets are £15 on the door – £12.50 when booked in advance – and £5 or £3 for a child. Make a note in your diary for 7.30pm as this is a concert that you won’t want to miss even a second of.
