Those staying in Wiltshire cottages will soon have the opportunity to catch an exciting production of William Golding’s ‘Lord of the Flies’ from 19th-24th November.
This particular production features the Stage ’65 Youth Theatre, the resident young dramatists of Salisbury Playhouse. No group is better placed to make up the cast of a theatrical adaptation of Golding’s classic novel, where children run amok with the taste of freedom and no rules. The paradise of the deserted island that the children initially find themselves on soon turns to terror as the rally themselves against ‘the Beast’; ‘Lord of the Flies’ is a story which really pushes the human character to the limit.
After weeks of rehearsals, the production at Salisbury Playhouse looks all set to thrill every single audience member. Performances start at 7.45pm from Monday to Saturday and there will also be a 2.45pm matinee on Saturday. Tickets cost just £8 and will be available to pre-book from Salisbury Playhouse or purchase on the door.
