You’re not going to run out of exciting things to do and places to go in Dorset, but when...
The New Forest Reptile Centre has collaborated with the RSPB to allow visitors of the New Forest the unique opportunity to see some nesting goshawks. The project is running throughout summer from 10am until 4.30pm and aims to introduce visitors to the different birds of prey that live in the forest, including the new life that is blossoming this summer.
A large flat screen TV has been erected to broadcast both live and recorded footage of these young birds, allowing everybody a fascinating look at the beginning of new life. Binoculars and telescopes are also available for you to see these magnificent birds up close, and friendly volunteers and staff members will be on hand to tell you more about what natural wonders the New Forest has to offer. The Reptile Centre is on the New Forest cycle network so biking enthusiasts have the opportunity to fit in a pleasant ride as well.
For those staying in New Forest Cottages, this is a wonderful opportunity to have a fascinating day out in one of the country’s most beautiful natural habitats.
